Simple but delicious, these strawberry smoothie milkshakes are great for a quick after-school snack or an easy honey-sweetened dessert. Also adaptable for a breakfast smoothie, this recipe is easy, quick and tasty.
In a blender jar combine milk, yogurt, honey and vanilla extract. Blend well for about a minute until honey is mostly dissolved.
Add frozen strawberries and blend until smooth. Serve in glasses with milkshake straws.
1. I've only used whole milk in this recipe, but feel free to experiment with whatever kind you'd like.
2. I've made this with both Greek and regular yogurt and both are delicious.
3. You can also make this a kefir milkshake by using 1 cup of kefir milk in place of the milk and yogurt.
4. I haven't tried it but I imagine Xgave would work as a substitute for honey.
5. You can throw a handful of spinach in for an easy green breakfast smoothie. It really doesn't taste like spinach at all. The berries mask the spinach flavor. Such a great way to get your greens!
6. Sometimes for my breakfast smoothie I will use fresh strawberries so it's not super cold. And I really like it that way too.
