Black Bean Hummus

This black bean hummus is perfectly savory and utterly delicious. Perfect with chips or veggies, it's a great appetizer or easy lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 15-ounce cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas) rinsed and drained
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
  • ¼ cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • ¾ cup + 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor blender, combine all of the ingredients. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Serve with pita chips, pretzel crisps, tortilla chips, fresh veggies or whatever your heart desires.
