Fresh Peach Sherbet

Made with fresh peaches and sweetened with honey, this peach sherbet is creamy like ice cream, but with a delicious sherbet-like tang.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (15 ounces) chopped fresh peaches see note
  • ½ cup (6 ounces) raw honey
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped fresh peaches, raw honey, buttermilk, and lemon juice in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into medium container with lid and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour or up to 24 hours.

  2. Process ice cream in ice cream maker following the manufacturer's instructions. Scrape mixture into a container with a lid. Freeze ice cream for at least 2 hours before serving or up to a week.

Recipe Notes

  1. For maximum sweetness and flavor, make sure you use a perfectly ripe peaches (they should be soft but not mushy) and fresh lemon juice (rather than bottled).
