Today I’m sharing 6 favorite recipes (a.k.a. my go-to recipes). All from the archives and dishes that we’ve made and loved in the last few months.
Even though the recipes I post on this blog have their spotlight moment, it’s easy for them to get buried in the archives and forgotten because of the current highlighted recipes.
Since I post family favorite food on this site, each and every one of the recipes I post is something our family loves.
I obviously make a LOT of new recipes in our regular meal rotation, but so many of these old favorites keep returning to our meals again and again and they deserve another mention.
So today marks the first day of a new series where I will share my go-to recipes with you.
Go-to recipes are recipes we make all the time. And recipes that we love over and over again.
Today I’m picking just 6 recipes from the archives to highlight. In order to qualify for this list, all of these recipes have been made in the last 2 to 3 months. And then from that list (with over 20 recipes included this time) I narrow it down to recipes that truly deserve that title of go-to recipes.
Have you tried any of my go-to recipes below?
What are some of your go-to recipes that your family loves?
Creamed Corn
This creamed corn is an absolute staple side dish in our house. It seems like every special meal includes it and if it’s not there something is missing. If you haven’t tried it, you need to. It’s the best.
Easy Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Another great side that we make over and over again. If you never thought you needed a recipe for perfect mashed potatoes, well you do. And this is it. They are quick and easy (especially if you use an Instant Pot, but I’ve included stovetop directions as well).
Instant Pot Alfredo Fettuccine or Linguine
This is one of my go-to meals for busy nights because it’s so fast. It’s also the dish I bring often to our potluck family gatherings because everyone loves it.
Whole Wheat Bread
This is my go-to recipe for whole wheat sandwich bread that we make all the time. The recipe has step-by-step instructions so you can win at bread making even if you’ve never made it before.
Roasted Cauliflower
This roasted cauliflower is better than a treat. It goes with everything. I usually double the recipe and roast both sheet pans at once, rotating top to bottom halfway. It stores well in the fridge and so easy to pull out for easy side dishes or lunches during the week.
Mexican Rice
Finally this list would not be complete without this Mexican rice. It is so yummy and we make it all the time for family gatherings or a quick side.
