Garlic Butter Sauteed Carrots

Garlic Butter Sautéed Carrots

These garlic butter sautéed carrots have won my heart completely. Talk about an easy side dish that is super enjoyable to eat. Your veggies never tasted so good. A little garlic-y with a buttery flavor and that caramelized blackened taste. Seriously yum.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots about 6 to 8 large
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon coarse salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the carrots and slice them through the thickness into fourths. Cut them lengthwise into 2 to 3-inch pieces.

  2. In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium to medium-high heat. Add garlic, carrots, salt, and pepper and sautée. Watch the carrots closely and turn them often. Cook for about 10-15 minutes or until carrots become tender and slightly caramelized (see note).

  3. Remove from heat and stir in freshly chopped parsley. Serve carrots warm or at room temperature.

Recipe Notes

1. My favorite way to eat these carrots is when they are very tender and just lightly blackened.
