Easy Roast Beef

I’ve noticed in the food blogging world that sometimes bloggers think they can’t post a recipe unless it has some weird ingredient in it or there’s something WOW about it.

And I’ll be the first to raise my hand and say I love variety in my food.

So I get that. And I appreciate it. And I love food that wows me.

But at the same time I know and value basic recipes that I can stand by and will go back to making again and again for my family.

I love family friendly recipes

Recipes that don’t take a long time to put together.

Recipes with just a few ingredients.

Recipes that my kids will actually eat.

Recipes that I can make without much thought when I’ve got a million things to do and none of them allow for being in the kitchen longer than ten minutes.

And guess what my friends? I’ve got news because:

This is that kind of recipe.

How to make this roast beef dinner

Easy Roast Beef

The prep is so fast.

Easy Roast Beef

Just salt and pepper some beef, cut up an onion and pour Worcestershire sauce over it. If you want a full meal you can throw in some potatoes and carrots to cook along with everything else.

Easy Roast Beef

You don’t have to measure. You don’t have to know how to cook. And you don’t have to sit and babysit anything. The slow cooker does the hard part for you.

And then six hours later you have an amazing delicious dinner to share with your family. This amazingly easy roast beef. Comfort food that everyone will love.

Now that to me says wow.

What to serve with it

I love to serve this beef with roasted vegetables: these potatoes or this cauliflower or even these roasted vegetables (I would probably omit the sausage since I’m serving it with Beef).

Sometimes if I know I won’t have time to roast the vegetables before it’s time to eat, I will wash and cut up some potatoes and carrots into about 2-inch pieces and throw them on top of the roast and sprinkle them with a bit of salt and pepper. They easily cook with the roast and you can serve it all together for a full meal.
