Mini Gift Guide Cooks 2019

Heather’s Mini Holiday Gift Guide for Cooks 2019

Today I’m sharing my 2019 gift guide for cooks featuring my favorite cooking tools in the kitchen. Unless otherwise mentioned, these are all things that I happily own and would buy again as a gift for someone else or for myself.

I’m only talking about favorites here. And if you need more ideas, I still love all the cooking tools I listed in the 2018 Gift Guide so be sure to check those out as well.

And since I love to get ideas too, please chime in and tell me, what cooking tools you can’t live without.

Cooks Gift Guide

1. Inexpensive Striped Apron – I recently bought this inexpensive apron and I absolutely love it. It looks nice, fits well (completely adjustable), has awesome pockets. It’s made of a really sturdy material that washes up good and even after several washes it still looks brand new.

2. Bar Keeper’s Friend – I wouldn’t mind one bit if someone gifted me a package of THE BEST kitchen cleaner. This stuff works awesome for scrubbing stoves, ovens, pots, pans, you name it. It’s my favorite and an absolute “must have” in the kitchen.

3. The Perfect Cookie or Brownie Spatula – I use this spatula all the time and love it. It’s the perfect size for cookies or brownies. Every cook needs one (or five) of these.

4. Quarter Sheet and Half Sheet Baking Pans – Can you ever have too many baking pans? I think not. I really like this brand. The quarter sheet pans are perfect for so many things including transporting floppy foil pans (if you are bringing someone dinner) or even non food uses like keeping kids crafts contained. The half sheet pans are perfect for baking cookies or roasting veggies.

5. Baking Sheet Cover – Baking sheet covers come in super handy for transporting and storing cupcakes or cookies. They fit just perfect over those half baking sheets I told you about. I love mine so much and wonder what I ever did without it.

6. Digital Oil & Candy Thermometer – this is a great little thermometer for making candy (or these caramel apples) or for frying. It takes the guesswork out of candy making which is awesome.

7. Nut Milk Bag – I’ve mentioned this one before but I love my nut milk bag. I use it to make ricotta cheese (my fav Instant Pot version here) or to strain homemade yogurt. I actually own two and the second one is used for wringing out zucchini or making bone broth from chicken or turkey bones. Super handy little bags.

8. French Baguette Pans – I own multiples of these pans and love them so much. You can make the best French Baguettes with them that are so good.

9. Flour Sack Dish Towels – These are my favorite flour sack dish towels. They are the perfect weight to lay over bread loaves that are rising. They are simple and perfect for any kitchen.

10. Nesco Dehydrator – I’ve had this dehydrator for years and love it. It’s the perfect size and price range. We make our own fruit leather and other yummy dehydrated fruit with it (dried pears are my FAVORITE!)

11. Favorite Potato Masher – I’ve owned a LOT of potato mashers in my day and most of them end up in the garbage because I can’t stand them. This brand makes my favorite can opener so I decided I needed to give their potato masher a try and it’s AWESOME. I can’t say enough good about it. Seriously life changing.

12. Basic Pyrex Pie Plates – My go to pie plate. I own a ton of these. I love that the glass allows you to check the bottom to see if its done. It’s just your basic pie pan but it produces great results every time.

Bonus Gift Guide for little Cooks

While I don’t have any of these kids play kitchen things…this is my current kitchen play wish list for myself (of course I would share it with my daughter too, haha).

13. & 14. Play kitchen pots & pans and Play kitchen utensils – Aren’t they so stinkin’ cute? I love that they look like a miniature version of the real thing.

15. Favorite Kid’s kitchen – This is the kitchen I have my eye on. Isn’t it adorable? I love everything about it.

16. Cute baking set – Super fun baking set that would be perfect for playdough or pretend play.
