Mini Gift Guide for Cooks

Heather’s Mini Holiday Gift Guide for Cooks

Hello, my friends!

Today I’m sharing a special gift guide all about my favorite cooking tools in the kitchen. These are all items that I happily own and would buy again as a gift for someone else or for myself.

I’m only talking about favorites here. And since I love to get ideas too, I’d love it if you’d like to chime in. Tell me, what cooking tools you have and LOVE?

Cooks Gift Guide

1. Bench scraper – One of my favorite tools in the kitchen, this bench scraper gets used every day, multiple times a day. I love it for cutting up kids food (sandwiches, quesadillas), slicing dough, cleaning up the counter, etc. It’s inexpensive (under $10) and the perfect gift.

2. Double Belgian waffle maker – I splurged and bought this waffle maker this year and oh man I love it. It makes two at a time (which is super handy) and they really are the fluffiest, most beautiful waffles. It cleans up easy and is my favorite waffle maker I’ve ever owned.

3. The best whisk – I love this large handled balloon whisk and use it every day in the kitchen. It’s easy to grip and does a good job. I never knew I could be particular about a whisk until I found one I can’t live without.

4. Mixing bowl set – I have several mixing bowl sets but this is the one I inevitably reach for every time. I love the little handle and pouring spouts on the sides. The sizes are just perfect and I pretty much use them for everything.

5. Angled Measuring Cups are the best. I love being able to see the measurements by looking at the top. I have the 2-cup and the 4-cup is on my wish list.

6. Heavy Duty Hand mixer – I’ve owned several hand mixers over the years and never felt strongly about any of them until this one. Sturdy and powerful, this guy does the job and does it well. I’ve had mine for a few years, use it many times a week, and it’s still going strong.

7. My favorite paring knife – you know you have a good paring knife when you by pass all the clean ones to find this one even if it means washing it. It’s the perfect size and fits easily in my hand. I have both the straight and serrated knives in this size and brand and the serrated is my favorite.

8. 2-Cup Measuring Cup – You don’t realize how much you need a 2-cup measuring cup until you have one. This seriously is so nice for measuring larger quantities and now I can measure twice as fast. Love it.

9. Garlic Press – I wouldn’t want to be without my garlic press for long. This guy is a beast and I love that you don’t have to peel the garlic before pressing it. Speaking as one who doesn’t like to get garlic on my hands, this garlic press really has been life changing.

10. The Best Can Opener – We’ve had this can opener for years. Probably at least 10. And it’s still going strong. It is by far the best can opener ever. Durable and sturdy and does the job right.

11. Mini Rubber Spatulas – My daughter loves using these mini spatulas because they’re so little and cute and fit right in her hands. Believe it or not, I actually bought these for me and I use them all the time. They are so handy for getting the last little bit of sauce out of a jar, or wiping a small bowl clean. They are the perfect size for so many situations when larger rubber spatulas just won’t work.

12. Immersion Blender – An immersion blender has been a huge lifesaver in the kitchen and I love mine. I use it most for making this homemade mayonnaise or pureeing soup or refried beans. Definitely a tool I would not be without.
