1. I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record with this, but this electric pressure cooker is one of my most-used, most-loved kitchen tools. Such a huge dinnertime and mental sanity saver. I don’t know what I’d do without it.

2. And speaking of the kitchen, this Usumacinta White Mexican Vanilla is absolutely divine. Since we don’t live near the boarder I was absolutely thrilled to discover this sold on Amazon. While pricey, it is totally worth the luxury. My husband had a guy pick this up for us when he was going down to Mexico last year. Sadly it didn’t last very long around here so I bought some for my husband for Christmas this year after we ran out. Clear or white Mexican vanilla is hard to find in the U.S. but it is so so good in cookies or cakes or ice cream.

3. For new moms I can’t recommend these Aden and Anais swaddle blankets enough. Light and soft as can be, they are the perfect blankets (especially for a summer baby). They wash up quickly and are great quality. These are one of the best investments I made when my daughter was born. Be sure to get the larger size (47″x 47″). My daughter is two and we still pull these out to snuggle her up in in the summer time. She loves them. I wish they made them in my size ;).

4. Anyone else thinking about ice cream? This Cuisinart Ice Cream maker has been one of my favorite things. We pull this out to make ice cream year round but especially in the summertime. I love the fact that it doesn’t need ice– you just store the bowl in the freezer so you can have it ready at any time. I love being able to make homemade ice cream with quality ingredients anytime I want. We’ve even done dairy free and sugar free versions (have you tried this Vanilla Honey Custard ice cream yet? Mmmmh). One of the most-used, most-loved appliances in our house. Your moms will love it.

5. I splurged and bought these stainless steel measuring spoons (sold out) and these measuring cups last year and I have loved them so much. I love the fact that there are odd sizes in there (like 3/4 teaspoons and 2/3 cups). Sigh. Makes my mathematical brain so happy to no longer have to guess. Nice heavy duty quality, these will last for a long time.

6. One year my mother-in-law and I bought ourselves these Titan vegetable peeler/slicer combos when we were shopping together and it was the best decision ever. It’s been several years now and mine is still going strong. Last time I visited her I asked her about hers. She told me she likes them so much she has two. The vegetable peeler is a beast. I’ve even used it for peeling butternut squash! And the slicer is perfect for creating those super cute matchstick carrots. I use mine all the time for salads and Asian dishes. You didn’t know a vegetable peeler and slicer combo could change your life, but trust me, it can!

7. Anybody love good, clean romance novels? I love the Regency or Proper Romance genre. Sweet, feel-good romances novels with a modern writing style set in the Regency period (think Pride and Predjudice era but with a modern writing style). A few of my favorites that would be perfect for Mother’s Day Gifts would be Edenbrooke or Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson or For Elise or Longing For Home by Sarah M. Eden (or plenty of others that she’s written). A slightly different genre but still historical romance that I loved was Into the Whirlwind or several others by Elizabeth Cambden. The gift of a good book is always a great idea.

8. Okay all you DIY-ers out there. I had to put this one in there for you. This is one of my favorite Mother’s Day gifts that I got last year. It’s a cookbook/recipe holder/tablet stand for the kitchen. My son made this for me last year for Mother’s Day with his scout group (actually since I was one of the mom helper’s I helped him make it for me. Nice eh? Haha). But it has been used just about every day for the entire year. It’s a pretty basic concept and I’m sure you can pinterest it, but I’ll give you a few pics here so you get the idea. Such a great great gift and inexpensive too.

9. Last but not least, the sweetest and best gifts are often the simplest. Make her dinner? Flowers from the yard? Breakfast in bed? Her favorite treat? How about a dinner or lunch date? Or a handmade card or gift. Truly those are probably my favorite gifts of love on Mother’s Day. Here is a little flower pot my oldest son made for me in kindergarten for Mother’s Day. I still have it and treasure it to this day.
